bout the Role:

Are you passionate about student experience, community wellbeing and delivering high impact initiatives? We are seeking a proactive and adaptable Accommodation Program Manager to join our team. Reporting to the Senior Manager Accommodation, you will play a key role in supporting the effective delivery of accommodation programs, operations and student experience initiatives across Curtin’s accommodation portfolio.

This role provides day to day leadership to our Accommodation Coaches, building capability within the Residential Community and supporting the implementation of programs that align with Curtin’s strategic direction including wellbeing, safety, community development and the University’s commitments under the National Higher Education Code to Prevent and Respond to Gender Based Violence.

You will coordinate and deliver a diverse range of accommodation projects, contribute to service improvements, create and maintain business processes and support the student journey both on and off campus. You will also assist with the active monitoring, recording and investigation of accommodation related complaints and incidents, working collaboratively with internal partners to ensure safe, responsive and student‑centred outcomes.

This role involves close collaboration with colleagues across Student Life & Experience, Properties, Facilities and Development, Finance and other internal stakeholders. While you will work regularly with our accommodation providers. The role does not hold provider management responsibility.

Who we are looking for/selection criteria

Essential

  • Relevant postgraduate qualification (or progress toward) or equivalent experience in student accommodation or related fields.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and supporting staff, ideally within a residential or student focused environment.
  • Strong coordination skills with experience delivering programs, projects or operational initiatives.
  • Ability to develop and improve business processes to support efficient and effective operations.
  • Understanding of student experience, wellbeing, and community‑building within accommodation settings.
  • Ability to manage sensitive issues, complaints and incidents with sound judgement and discretion.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and decision‑making skills.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability in a fast‑paced, changing environment.
  • Willingness to travel to regional WA and interstate as required.

Desirable

  • Experience in the tertiary education sector or purpose‑built student accommodation (PBSA).
  • Knowledge of contract documentation and accommodation operating environments.
  • Understanding of the National Higher Education Code to Prevent and Respond to Gender‑based Violence.
