Job Description

Account Executive

Job Description:

Growing Sage is our top priority, and we’re rapidly expanding across the globe. As an Account Executive, you’ll reap the benefits of our growth momentum by introducing our software to customers, then earning them as long-term partners.

You’ll excel in this role if you have quota-carrying software or technology sales experience and have managed and closed complex sales cycles (new sales that require a deep understanding of both the product and the customer’s needs).

Hybrid schedule – work from our office 3 days per week, 2 days elsewhere.

You’ll represent software that combines decades of trusted expertise with modern tools like Sage Ai. Our software makes work easier and more efficient for our customers – that’s why they love it.

Uncapped earnings:

Our compensation structure includes a base salary plus commission. We believe that if you put in the work, you should be rewarded for it.

10 paid days for volunteering and learning:

Through Sage Foundation, you can donate your skill-based support or manual labor to causes you care about 5 days per year. Another 5 days per year can be invested in engaging in learning opportunities that interest you, because we care about your development at Sage.

Key Responsibilities:

What you’ll do and key performance metrics (KPMs):

Everyone wants to know what’s expected of them, and they want to be supported in achieving those goals too. Growing Sage is our main focus, so you can expect to have plenty of resources enabling you to experience your best work yet.

• Number of customers onboarded

• Volume of self-generated leads and outbound engagement

• Percentage of revenue targets achieved

• Accuracy of sales data logged and maintained

• Achieve and maintain consistent monthly and quarterly revenue goals

• Reduction in deal closure timelines

• Growth in average contract value and/or annual recurring revenue

• Contribution to team development through knowledge sharing

Requirements:

• 1+ years of quota carrying sales experience

• 1+ years managing and closing sales in a saas environment

• Experience selling business software to C-level executives

• This role requires up to 10% travel.

Plenty of perks:

• 100% paid premiums for health, dental, and vision coverage.

• RRSP contribution match (100% up to 4%).

• 35 days paid time off (11 paid holidays, 16 vacation days, 3 personal days, 5 sick days).

• 18 weeks of paid parental leave for birth, adoption, or surrogacy offered 1 year after the start date.

• 5 days paid yearly to volunteer (through Sage Foundation).

• $5,250 tuition reimbursement per calendar year starting 6 months after the hire date.

• Sage Wellness Rewards Program (annual fitness reimbursement).

• Library of on-demand career development options and ongoing training offerings.

The compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, education, and experience. Certain provinces in Canada require job postings to include a reasonable estimate of the salary range applicable to the role.

For this role, in those locations, the target salary range for new hires is: $60k salary to $80k.

In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either a bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, commission plan. Our talent acquisition team will provide the specific opportunity on our bonus or incentive programs to eligible candidates. The range listed is just one component of the Sage total compensation package.
