What does a great Account Manager do?


A great Account Manager at Travelport is the trusted partner for our customers—someone who knows the Austrian travel landscape inside out and can turn that knowledge into real business impact. You’ll be the face of Travelport for a portfolio of mid-tier agencies and partners, building relationships that go beyond transactions. This isn’t a role where you wait for instructions; it’s about taking ownership, spotting opportunities, and driving growth with confidence and creativity.


You’ll translate complex technology into clear value for customers, helping them succeed in a fast-changing travel environment. Every day, you’ll combine commercial acumen with local market expertise to deliver solutions that matter. Responsibilities include:

  • Own and manage a portfolio of mid-tier travel agency accounts in Austria, driving retention, growth, and profitability.
  • Develop and execute account plans that leverage deep knowledge of the Austrian travel market to deliver customer success and competitive advantage.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers, building strong relationships and proactively identifying new business opportunities.
  • Negotiate and renew contracts, ensuring alignment with Travelport’s commercial objectives and customer needs.
  • Operate as a self-starter—independently prioritizing, problem-solving, and mobilizing internal resources to deliver exceptional outcomes.
  • Who we are looking for in this role:

  • Deep understanding of the Austrian travel industry, including key players, market dynamics, and distribution trends.
  • Proven ability to work independently and take initiative—comfortable operating as a self-starter in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience in account management, contract negotiation, and driving revenue growth.
  • Excellent relationship-building and communication skills, capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels.
