Are you an ambitious and motivated sales professional looking to grow your career in the retail industry? We are looking for an Account Manager - Retail, to join our supportive team. You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of up to 20 of our smaller retail customers, providing them with excellent service and identifying growth opportunities.
This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your account management skills, learn from senior members of the team, and build a strong foundation for a successful career in sales.
This is a remote position with regular visits to customer sites. You will also be required to visit the office in Ratingen (Office Ernst Dietrich Platz 2, Ratingen 40882) once a month. To be able to travel to customer sites easily, a driving license is mandatory.
Responsibilities:
+ Act as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor for a dedicated portfolio of up to 20 smaller retail accounts.
+ Proactively engage with customers through regular check-ins and on-site visits to understand their needs and build strong, lasting partnerships.
+ Identify and qualify new sales opportunities within your existing accounts, contributing directly to revenue growth and customer success.
+ Address customer inquiries and challenges in a timely and effective manner, ensuring a high level of satisfaction.
+ Partner with a dedicated sales engineer and a senior team buddy for initial customer engagements, gradually taking on full ownership as you develop your skills.
Qualifications:
+ A Bachelor's degree in Management, Sales, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
+ 2-5 years of experience in a sales or customer-facing role.
+ Experience or a strong interest in the retail or warehouse/logistics sector is a plus.
+ An excellent customer-centric approach and a proactive attitude.
+ As a remote-based employee, you must be a self-starter with the ability to work on your own initiative.
+ A valid driving license is essential, as this role involves regular travels to customer sites.
+ Fluency in both German and English is mandatory.
