Overview of the role

  • Ensure accurate processing of all AP transactions (invoices, employee expense reports, credit card statements, etc.)
  • Oversee and, where necessary, process vendor and employee payments in accordance with established deadlines
  • Verify employee expenses reports in accordance with the organization’s policies
  • Maintain organized vendor and employee AP files
  • Respond to AP enquiries from external and internal stakeholders
  • Review the AP subledger on a regular basis and make adjustments as necessary
  • Provide support and backup to the Accounts Receivable function
  • Assist in the preparation for the annual audit
  • Assist overall month end process
  • Complete journal entries, as required
  • Analysis/reconciliation of accounts as required
  • Work ad hoc and other duties as needed
  • Filing

Qualifications & Experience

  • 2 years of related accounts payable experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office products, primarily Excel
  • Ability to prioritize and work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines, and handle multiple tasks
  • Sensitivity in dealing with confidential information
  • Excellent verbal, written and listening skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Strong accuracy, attention to detail, investigative, and analytical skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to effectively prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Must be able to work overtime during month end (1st 8 days of each month)
  • Well organized with attention to detail
  • Proven team player with ability to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
  • Ability to adapt readily to change
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics, preferred

Salary Range: 60K
