Accountant, Cost, Heartland Accounting

Description

Located in the downtown Inter Pipeline Calgary office, the individual in the Cost Accountant role will report to the Manager, Accounting. The Cost Accountant will assist with the accounting and analysis of manufactured polypropylene & feedstocks. The Cost Accountant will monitor and analyze the cost of feedstocks, the cost of manufacturing polypropylene and the performance results of the plants. The Cost Accountant role will focus on Cost Reporting, Process Improvement and SOX Compliance. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of our cost accounting processes.

Within the business unit is the Heartland Petrochemical Complex (HPC), a world-scale integrated complex comprised of a propane dehydrogenation plant, a polypropylene plant and a co-generation central utilities block.
