Accountant

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage core financial processes and ensure compliance with Australian taxation and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, hands-on experience with reconciliation, BAS preparation, and financial reporting, and be proficient in Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, the Microsoft Office Suite, and ideally Airtable.

Responsibilities

• Account Reconciliation Conduct weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc reconciliations of all financial accounts to ensure alignment with bank statements.
• BAS Preparation and Lodgement Prepare and lodge Business Activity Statements (BAS) in compliance with ATO regulations. Accurately calculate and report GST, PAYG withholding, and any other tax obligations. Ensure timely lodgement and payment to avoid penalties and maintain compliance.
