Job Description
  • VAT & Tax Compliance: Prepare, review, and file VAT returns in line with Omani regulations; assist with corporate tax filings and WHT.
  • Financial Reporting: Generate monthly/annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) and variance analysis.
  • Day-to-Day Accounting: Process daily transactions, manage AP/AR, handle bank reconciliations, and manage petty cash.
  • Auditing & Controls: Maintain audit files, support internal/external audits, and implement internal controls.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze financial performance, identify risks/opportunities, and provide insights to management.
  • Budgeting: Assist with budget preparation and monitoring.
  • System Management: Accurate data entry and reporting using accounting software/ERP systems. 


Requirements

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or Commerce (B.Com, M.Com).
  • Experience: 4-5 of Proven experience as an accountant, with specific knowledge of Omani VAT laws and practices.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced MS Excel, proficiency in accounting software (ERP knowledge a plus).
  • Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork.
