Role Overview
We are hiring an experienced Accountant (3–5 years) to support a global client’s accounting operations. This role is ideal for professionals with strong Workday Financial Management experience , solid accounting fundamentals, and the ability to independently manage close activities and client interactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle end-to-end day-to-day accounting including journal entries, GL maintenance, and reconciliations
- Work extensively on Workday Financial Management for transactions, validations, and reporting
- Own and support month-end and year-end close processes within defined timelines
- Prepare and review financial reports, statements, and supporting schedules
- Ensure compliance with client accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Resolve accounting discrepancies and respond to client and stakeholder queries
- Maintain accurate, audit-ready documentation and financial records
- Support process improvements and ad-hoc accounting requirements
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field
- 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience , preferably in a client-facing or shared services environment
- Hands-on Workday Financial Management experience (mandatory)
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial controls
- Experience supporting month-end / year-end close cycles
- Proficiency in MS Excel for reconciliations and reporting
- High attention to detail, ownership mindset, and ability to meet client deadlines
- Good communication skills for client and internal coordination
