Accounting Analyst

Overview

We have a new role open in our team for an accounting analyst. You will spend your day exporting sales and sales tax data from our POS system, parsing, filtering and summarizing key data strings, and preparing various accounting and financial reports based on this data. You will also prepare daily journal entries based on the summarized data, and reconcile the impacted GL accounts to our POS system. To excel in this role you need proven accounting knowledge and strong Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Exporting sales and sales tax data from the POS system to Excel.
• Parsing, filtering, and summarizing key data in Excel.
• Preparing accounting and other required reports and projections based on the summarized data.
• Preparing daily Journal Entries based on the summarized data.
• Reconciling GL accounts to the POS system.
