Job Description
The Accounting Manager ensures the organization's financial records remain accurate while meeting reporting deadlines.
Establish internal controls, guidelines, and policies to ensure transactions comply with GAAP and relevant laws and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee daily operations of the accounting department to ensure financial objectives are met.
- Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements.
- Assist the budget committee with budget preparation, analysis, and creation of budget reports.
- Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
- Coordinate with the external auditor and complete annual audit activities and report.
- Develop action plans, audit operations, propose systems improvement and procedures, and initiate corrective actions. Lead the accounting team to provide accurate, timely data and recommendations.
