Accounting Specialist

STUDEN Gıda Ticaret, headquartered in Istanbul, specializes in the sale and transportation of crude and refined sunflower oil produced in our modern facilities in the Brčko District of Bosnia and Herzegovina and in Sombor, Serbia. We are also a leading player in the wholesale trade of food products and other commodities.

In this role, you will support our regional and international financial operations by managing daily accounting tasks and ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting.

Job description:

  • Daily accounting activities of the company (issuing invoices, incoming invoices, tracking invoice status)
  • Handling accounting records in compliance with Tax Procedure Law (VUK) and record all purchases, sales, and expense invoices;
  • Ensure the accuracy of gross profit reporting and oversee the management of both accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Conduct bank and cash reconciliations and prepare monthly closing activities and management reports
  • Preparation and support of VAT (KDV), withholding tax, and statutory declarations;
  • Liaise with external CPAs and tax advisors to ensure full compliance and maintain accurate, properly documented records.

Required qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree or higher in economics, preferably with a focus on accounting or finance;
  • Up to 3 years of experience as an in-house bookkeeper or accounting specialist in Turkey;
  • Knowledge of VUK, VAT (KDV), and withholding tax;
  • Experience with local accounting software (TR and ENG version);
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and reporting functions;
  • A high level of proficiency in written and spoken English is required for effective communication within the Group and with International Management;
  • Preferably a spoken and comprehension-level proficiency in the Bosnian language;
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
