**Job Description**
**Key Responsibilities**
Lead and supervise day-to-day accounting operations, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, and General Ledger functions.
Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff to support career growth, team performance, and succession planning.
Manage and complete the monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close processes, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
Perform and review balance sheet account reconciliations and variance analysis to ensure the integrity of data.
Ensure compliance with internal accounting policies and US GAAP across all transactions and reporting activities.
Coordinate the revenue recognition process in accordance with accounting standards and Thermo Fisher Accounting Policy.
Manage all government remittances, including GST/HST, and other required filings.
