About the role

selectability is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to cover the role of general manager - service development from 20 February 2026 to 10 March 2026. This leave coverage role requires an individual with strong leadership skills, strategic thinking and a commitment to improving mental health services.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • providing leadership guidance and support to the commercial asset team
  • overseeing day-to-day operations and crisis management across the commercial asset portfolio ensuring strong relationships with regional and external stakeholders
  • maintaining oversight of financial performance including budgets claims expenses purchase orders data accuracy and compliance with delegation schedules
  • deliver accurate timely reporting to the ELT Board and other stakeholders and maintain current records systems and databases

The acting general manager will work closely with the executive team stakeholders and community partners to ensure that selectability's services are accessible, innovative and align with the diverse needs of the regions.

About you

To be considered for this rewarding role you will have:

  • excellent communication skills both verbal and written including presentation skills
  • highly developed analytical problem solving and numerical skills including the ability to compile analyse data and prepare reports
  • a demonstrated high level of attention to detail with a consistent approach
  • a demonstrated ability to prioritise conflicting priorities as required

Role requirements

  • relevant tertiary qualifications in psychology social work mental health or a related field (highly desirable)
  • demonstrated experience in mental health NDIS and community services (highly desirable)
  • a Child Safety & Personal History Screening check
  • a Positive Notice Working with Children (blue card) (or the ability to obtain)
  • a current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or the ability or obtain)
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module Quality Safety & You completion certificate (or the ability or obtain)

The acting general manager service development is a fulltime fixed term position from the 20 February 2026 to 10 March 2026 based in Townsville.
