The Actuarial Specialist for Model Excellence is responsible for supporting the IFRS17 model maintenance process and reviews of actuarial models and product pricing, as well as supporting initiatives related to models.

Responsibilities

IFRS17 Model Maintenance

  • Prepare model specifications for model changes such as assumption updates, new product setup, and other enhancements to the IFRS17 valuation models
  • Liaise with the Shared Actuarial Operations (SAO) team regarding any IFRS17 model-related concerns
  • Checks control documentations if they align with the test plan for intended model changes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support implementation of new requirements and model updates

  • Conduct reviews and validations of models and calculators owned by Actuarial in accordance with guidelines on Model and Calculator Risk Policy
