Contract: Ad Hoc / Temporary (Shift Cover Only)
About the Role
We are recruiting experienced Ad Hoc Support Workers to support 16–18- year olds within semi-independent services across Essex. This is ad hoc work only, covering sickness, annual leave and emergency/crisis situations. Shifts are offered by the on-call manager, so flexibility is essential.
The young people supported present with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD) and often have complex needs, including:

Mental health challenges
*
Self-harm behaviours
*
Substance misuse
*
Learning disabilities
*
History of offending
*
Asylum-seeking backgrounds
While the majority of placements are planned, the service also supports emergency referrals, so confidence working in high-pressure situations is important.<...
