Radar System and Function Engineer

Mercedes-Benz Research and Development, India is seeking Senior Tech Lead with a strong RADAR system knowledge to work in the areas of Radar component and Driver/Driving Assistance systems.

Key Job Responsibilities:

· Responsible for evaluating Radar function performance and recommending functional release.

· Testing radars after integration in vehicle .

· Measure and analyze vehicle test reports(Bugs etc) from field, customer and vehicle tests and provide engineering solution

· Responsible for resolving On vehicle diagnostics issues

· Responsible for Base software release including Variant coding on vehicle

· Coordination with FuSi, Security, Hardware and system experts to derive Radar function performance recommendations.

Basic Qualification:

· Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics and Communication/Electrical and Electronics Engineering

8- years of overall experience; with minimum 4 years in ADAS domain

Key Skills and Experience:

· Strong driving skills

· Automotive system engineering and software development experience

· Knowledge of component or software development processes

· Experience in dealing with colleagues from plant and suppliers

· Exposure in one of the following areas – Radar, Radar Functions, Radar based driver assistance systems, Park Assistant systems , Ultrasonic sensors, Camera Based assistance systems

Speaking skills in German language is highly desirable

Tools:

· Measurement data analysis tools.

· CANOE

Preferred Skills:

Advanced Driving Authorizations

Expertise on automotive radar testing

· Usage of tools – MS excel, Databases, project planning tools

· Knowhow of control unit software development

· Excellent skills and ability to work in & contribute as a good team player

· Experience in the automotive field and exposure of multi-cultural environment is an added advantage.
