Job Description

The Lead Doctoral Faculty Mentor (LDFM) supports doctoral students/candidates as they complete their Dissertation in Practice (DiP) for the EdD program. The LDFM assumes responsibility for providing the doctoral student with constructive feedback on performance related to DiP content and process in a scaffolded manner over the course of five semesters. Reporting to the EdD Program Director and the LDFM Leadership Team, the LDFM ensures that the doctoral student/candidate designs a feasible study and executes a quality applied

research dissertation.

The LDFM is responsible for mentoring the student over 5-6 semesters beginning in the second year of the student’s program. The LDFM will work with doctoral students/candidates in semesters 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 of their program, with most journeys culminating in semester 8 with their DiP presentations. This is a
