Admin Manager / Payroll | People Leadership + End-to-End Payroll

Eagle Farm | $80,000 – $100,000 + Super | Permanent Opportunity

We’re partnering with a well-established business with a national footprint and corporate head office based in Brisbane, to recruit an experienced Admin Manager / Payroll.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands‑on payroll professional who enjoys people leadership and wants to play a key role in supporting smooth business operations across payroll, admin and customer service.

About the Role

Reporting into senior leadership, you will take ownership of the payroll function while also overseeing the broader administration team. Payroll will account for approximately 2 days per week, with the remainder focused on team leadership, workflow management and operational support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing and payroll compliance
  • Oversee payroll records, reporting, reconciliations and employee queries
  • Interpret awards / conditions and ensure accurate processing of entitlements
  • Lead and support a team of 7 direct reports
  • Oversee operational teams across:
    • Reception
    • Accounts Payable
    • Accounts Receivable
    • Customer Service (approx. 15 staff across the wider function)
  • Drive process improvements and support ongoing operational efficiencies

About You

To be successful, you’ll bring a strong mix of payroll capability and leadership experience, including:

  • 5+ years’ end-to-end payroll experience
  • Proven experience leading an HR/Admin or operations support team
  • Confident communicator with a solutions-focused approach
  • Strong attention to detail and compliance mindset
  • Ability to juggle payroll deadlines with team leadership responsibilities
