Job Description
This is a hands-on administrative role supporting funeral arrangements and office operations. The successful candidate must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, emotionally sensitive environment and supporting families during difficult times.
The role is administration-heavy, with a strong focus on organisation, coordination, empathy, and accuracy.
This role sits within a multicultural funeral services branch, operating in a niche market predominantly serving Chinese and broader Asian communities. The team is highly cohesive, family-oriented, and experienced, delivering professional, sensitive, and culturally aware funeral services.
Key ResponsibilitiesAdministrative support for funeral arrangements Data entry and coordination of the funeral arrangement book Supporting meetings with families Reception desk coverage as required Liaising closely with arrangers, and internal teams Candidate Profile
Mandarin and/or Cantonese language skills are required Ability to read Chinese (simplified or traditional) is required High empathy and emotional intelligence Strong organisation and time management skills Comfortable working in an environment involving deceased and grieving families Willingness to support a close-knit, long-tenured team Backgrounds That Transition Well
