In the last decade, the rate of Canadians with anxiety, depression, and bipolar have nearly doubled. Now, in any given year, one in five Canadians experiences a mental illness and 7% contemplate suicide. Substance abuse has also arisen with the Canadian Mental Health Association estimating that 21% of the population will meet the criteria for addiction in their lifetime. Unfortunately, the public system has not been able to serve the increased demand for intensive treatment, and the average wait time is now almost two months.

EHN Canada was founded in 2013 to support this growing demand. We believe that every Canadian has the right to mental health and addiction treatment services that are accessible (little to no wait times), affordable (paid for by your government or employer), and excellent (using outcomes measurement and evidenced-based practices).
