What you will do
Assist sites with timely technical support focused on non-metallics materials selection, usage, troubleshooting, and general guidance, including failure analysis. Provide support for global and regional capital projects. Maintain and update a core set of discipline-specific engineering and guidance documents that disseminate internal and industry best practices. Lead material qualification activities, from identification to deployment, as part of the approval process of new technologies or R&D activities. Train and mentor entry-level employees to accelerate career development. Represent the company in international technical and standards organizations. About You
Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor’s or master’s degree from a recognized university in Materials Engineering or Chemistry or relevant disciplines. Minimum 10 years of industry experience as Non-Metallics Materials or similar role in the oil & gas industry. Demonstrated work experience and knowledge of non-metallics industry codes, standards and practices applied to materials selection, testing, and failure analysis. Knowledge of upstream, refining, chemical plant, and midstream operations, including external and internal corrosion mechanisms. History of working with technology vendors and application contractors in support of field activities or capital projects. Field experience with coatings and linings for upstream, refining and petrochemical (CUI coatings, thermal insulation coatings, etc.). Experience with composites materials for Oil & Gas applications (GRE, RTP, Flexible pipes, etc.), including materials system design, inspection, and maintenance. Experienced in leading new technology development and deployment. Preferred Qualifications/Experiences
Demonstrated initiative and ability to handle multiple priorities and stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to influence with operations and engineering personnel who is directly supporting active sites. Ability to work independently and contribute as part of a multi-discipline team. Broad knowledge and work experience in corrosion protection is valued. Strong verbal and written communication skills in English. Work shift is normally in the afternoon shift (01:30 pm to 10:30 pm) with flexibility to meet business needs. Flexibility to both travel internationally and support sites remotely as per business needs. Strong business acumen preferred to drive value realization considering commercial contracts, procurement, supply chain and logistics. Your benefits
