The PLC Advance Systems Engineer implements multiple electrical projects as the Lead Engineer and is responsible for planning, reporting and management of the project, in addition to designing, developing, & implementing PLC software projects as Lead Control Engineer and shall work independently for an integrated system or sub-system.
This role spans from coding and commissioning to technical management and reporting, ensuring projects meet scope, budget, and timeline requirements.
The Advance Systems Engineer takes full ownership for all automation and controls aspects of assigned projects. This role involves planning, executing, and delegating tasks across the entire project lifecycle, ensuring seamless integration of automation systems. The engineer proactively coordinates and forecasts resource requirements—both in-house and on-site, which includes collaboration with other cross-functional teams. By leveraging expertise in automation technologies, the Controls Automation Engineer drives project success through effective leadership, technical oversight, and continuous process improvement.
The engineer takes a holistic approach in understanding core design features, project elements, overall network architecture, control design requirement and manages the scope, budget, schedule, maintaining internal and external customer expectations throughout the project life cycle. The Engineer manages program requirements and associated documentation, as well as maintain all technical program communications with customers and drives product and project execution improvements and continuous improvement efforts.

Attends all project related turnover meetings & functional design reviews, as requested Attends all customer related approval meetings – as requestedMonitors/audits PLC code reviews and QA activities in line with project requirements and standardsCreates PLC Base Code test plans for all new R & D Code development efforts for In-House, Site, Commissioning, and Acceptance testing.Contributes to project lessons learned post-mortem engineering review, providing PLC Base Code expertise and historical perspectiveMay be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assignedPrepare or update reports and documentationAttends weekly team meetings; reviews scheduled tasks/timelinesWork independently on automation projects for material handling, warehouse systemsDevelop and implement PLC code for the material handling equipmentReview AutoCAD layouts and schematics to program the PLC systemTest PLC prototypes internally and on site for new/changes in the projectAssess programming and commissioning methods to ensure those meet the Intelligrated Coding standardsExecutes all test plans on-site, both internal and customer acceptance/BUAT/UAT/FATMonitors and works from project tasks lists and timelines; reports progress on a regular basisYOU MUST HAVE-
Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics/Electrical/Instrumentation EngineeringMinimum of 7-8 years of Controls Engineering Experience in a similar profileLeadership experience (Project Lead, Team Lead, or similar)Experience leading a program or multiple projects at one time.Ability and willingness to site travel up 70-80% of the time.
