Job Description

The AEM Content Author will acquire resources to efficiently and accurately build and publish specified pages within the AEM CMS environment, utilizing existing page templates and components.


Key Responsibilities & Deliverables

β€’ AEM Page Authoring: Page-building support for migrating content from an existing Optimizely CMS into Adobe Experience Manager (AEM). Authors will work with content delivered in a structured, manageable format to efficiently create and configure pages within AEM. The focus is on ensuring accurate page layout, page properties, taxonomy alignment, and tagging to maintain consistency and governance during the migration process.

β€’ AEM Page Governance

Using our provided documentation:

  • Ensure page properties are accurately completed to support SEO, localization, and internal search.
  • Follow the site’s taxonomy and structure to maintain consistency and usability.
  • Use provided tags to support content organization, personalization, and filtering.
  • Apply consistent naming conventions and metadata to aid governance and discoverability.
  • Adhere to authoring standards and documentation provided by the web team.


β€’ Component Configuration: Work directly within the AEM authoring interface to input content to designated AEM components (e.g., text blocks, image components, experience fragments) to correctly render the final page view.

β€’ Content Placement & Formatting: Ensure all textual content is accurately placed and styled using AEM's rich text editor and component configuration options, maintaining formatting consistency with the source material, wireframes and guidance provided.

β€’ Quality Assurance (QA): Perform technical QA checks using the provided accessibility guidelines and DQM to ensure content is correctly displayed, properly configured, and functioning as intended. Confirm that all content accurately reflects the source before final publication.


Required Experience & Skills

β€’ Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) CMS Operations: Proven, hands-on experience building and managing pages/assets within a production AEM environment (e.g., creating, moving, publishing pages).


β€’ Accuracy: High degree of attention to detail to avoid technical errors or display issues.
