Position Summary
As Aerospace & Defense Sales Manager, you will be responsible for the India territory, for managing customer relationships, leading technical discussions and growing Aerospace & Defense sales with current and new accounts. This includes our commercial products for existing applications as well as products and solutions for new applications to be introduced.
As Sales – Aerospace & Defense you will:
- Promote our products and solutions to Aerospace & Defense accounts
- Oversee the long-term sales growth and strategy in assigned accounts along with new business development
- End to end responsibility of managing sales deals and selling at the highest level
- Coordinate between customer project teams for current and future contracts.
- Provide sales development plans for defined key accounts
- Liaise with the customer’s engineering group and internal engineering and marketing groups to translate technical requirements for products and technical solutions
- Participates in tradeshows relevant to Aerospace and Defense markets
- Serve as the primary point of contact with the customers’ engineering and purchasing departments to respond to technical and commercial requests and troubleshoot pre-sales technical issues
- Develop and maintain industry contacts and provide industry and market knowledge to internal teams
- Maintain CRM systems with defined customer and opportunity data, reporting frequently
Must-Have:
- 15 to 18 years of experience in a technical sales role within the Defense industry
- Experience working in the GNSS industry and with high precision GNSS technology
- Excellent Sales experience in Defense and Government Sales
- A solid understanding of requirements and procurement process of customers in Aerospace and Defense
- Ability to travel more than 35% of working time
- Higher Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering, Electronics, GNSS, Geomatics, or similar
- MBA from a Tier 1 college is preferred
- Ability to effectively prepare and deliver technical presentations
- Proficiency in Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Salesforce
