AMM Author | 2 To 9 years | Bangalore
Key Responsibilities
- Collect and analyze source data including engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
- Author or revise Aircraft Maintenance Manuals (AMM) in compliance with Airbus Technical Specifications.
- Ensure documentation aligns with standards such as ATA100, iSpec2200, S1000D, and ASD-STE100.
- Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to interpret airframe and systems data.
- Guarantee quality and timely delivery of authored content.
- Maintain version control and traceability using Airbus documentation tools.
Primary Skills
- Strong experience in authoring AMM for Airbus programs: SA, LR, MB, XWB.
- Proficiency in handling Airframe and Systems ATA chapters.
- Hands-on expertise with Airbus tools:
- GIPSY
- GIDOCA
- SAP
- ZAMIZ
- DACAS
- PDMLink
- Deep understanding of engineering drawings and specifications.
Secondary Skills
- Familiarity with documentation standards:
- ATA100
- iSpec2200
- S1000D
- ASD-STE100
- Strong attention to detail and quality assurance.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- AME/Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Technical Communication, or a related field.
- 2-9years of experience in technical authoring within the aerospace domain.
- Certification in ASD-STE100 or S1000D is a plus.
- Experience working with Airbus documentation tools and platforms.
- Knowledge of aircraft systems and maintenance procedures.
