Affordplan - Sr QA Engineer

Role: Senior QA Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement automated test scripts for web , mobile (Android/iOS) , and API  layers.
• Build and maintain automation frameworks for functional , regression , and integration  testing.
• Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and product owners to understand functional and non-functional requirements.
• Execute automated test suites and analyze results to detect regressions and edge-case failures.
• Automate complex scenarios involving claims processing, payment gateways, financial transactions, and mobile health/finance apps.
• Integrate test scripts into CI/CD pipelines  and support release readiness.
• Log, track, and report defects, ensuring timely resolution and collaboration with development teams.

Must-Have Skills:

• 3–6 years of relevant experience in QA automation across web , API , and backend  systems.
• Hands-on experience with automation tools:
  • Web UI : Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress
  • API Testing : Rest Assured, Postman, or SoapUI
  • Mobile Automation : Appium (Android and iOS)
• Proficiency in writing test scripts using Java , Python , or JavaScript/TypeScript .
• Strong knowledge of automation test frameworks like TestNG  or similar frameworks.
• Good understanding of SDLC/STLC , Agile methodologies , and CI/CD tools  (e.g., Jenkins).

Nice to Have:

• Familiarity with fintech systems  (e.g., payment flows, digital wallets, UPI integrations).
• Performance testing knowledge using JMeter  or similar tools.
• Experience with BDD frameworks  like Cucumber  or SpecFlow .

Experience with cloud platforms  (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and container-based environments (Docker , Kubernetes ).
