We're a small startup looking for an experienced developer to help finalize and harden a custom After Effects plugin. This is a short term engagement, likely 10 to 20 hours initially, with ongoing related work for the right person. You must be able to commit at least 10 hours per week. Not open to teams or agencies.
Project Overview
We have a working After Effects plugin that imports structured data and programmatically builds layers. The core functionality is in place, but it needs refinement, stronger error handling, and cleanup of edge cases before production use.
This is primarily a scripting and engineering role, but you should also have solid visual judgment inside After Effects. You need to understand how comps, layers, timing, layout, and expressions behave in real projects, not just at a code level.
We will provide clear technical direction and help identify issues. You will be responsible for implementation quality and tightening up the system.
