About the Role:
As a Virtual Medical Assistant, you are the human voice of Outpatient Call Solutions. Every call you take is an opportunity to build trust, provide support, and ensure patients and clients feel heard and cared for.
This role goes beyond answering questions—it's about creating a compassionate, professional, and personalized experience that directly contributes to improving the patient journey in healthcare.
Key Responsibilities:
• Serve as the primary point of contact between patients and the clinic, ensuring communication is clear, timely, and compassionate.
• Confirm, schedule, and reschedule medical appointments according to provider availability and patient needs.
• Assist patients with medical questions, appointment needs, or medication inquiries, and redirect as appropriate.
• Identify critical or sensitive situations and escalate following established protocols.
• Document all interactions and maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records.
Education and Experience:
• High school diploma / GED
• Call center experience (preferred but not required)
Minimum Skills and Competencies:
• Bilingual (Spanish / English) with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in using computers and basic office software; quick to learn new tools and systems.
• Strong communication and active listening skills, with a focus on patient care and support.
• Adaptable and flexible, able to work effectively with changing processes and workflows.
• Proactive problem-solver, committed to supporting continuity of patient care.
