**The Role**



As an Agentic AI Software Engineer at Kyndryl, you’ll take the architect’s vision and turn it into reality building and delivering the code and integrations that power our customer engagements, and next-gen Agentic AI deployments. This is a hands-on, highly technical role where you’ll work on enterprise-grade software platforms that integrate Agentic AI capabilities.



You’ll thrive in a true builder’s environment, where MVP rollouts happen in weeks, and you’ll have the autonomy to experiment, innovate, and solve complex problems. Expect a mix of technical work, some customer-facing collaboration and a fast-paced, iterative setting with evolving requirements.



What You’ll Do

·Implementation of agents using LLM frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, or custom-built solutions



·Design and control of agent behaviors, including tool calling and function execution



·Development of multi-step and multi-agent workflows through agent decomposition and orchestration



·Implementation and operation of model performance improvements via fine-tuning and adapters (e.g., LoRA)



·Design, version control, and evaluation pipelines for prompt engineering



·Implementation of secure sandbox environments and execution infrastructures to enable safe tool execution

Essential Qualifications



· Native Japanese proficiency or equivalent

· Python software development experience (approximately 3+ years)

· Basic understanding of asynchronous processing, API design, and distributed systems

· Development and operations experience in cloud-native environments

· Experience implementing systems using LLMs or AI (professional or research)



Preferred Skills

· Experience implementing agents using frameworks such as LangChain or LlamaIndex

· Experience developing LLM applications that include tool calling and function execution

· Experience operating prompt design, evaluation, and improvement loops

· Experience implementing or operating fine-tuning, LoRA, or other adapter techniques

· Experience designing secure execution environments or sandboxes
