Job Description
Job Purpose
To lead and manage all civil construction and infrastructure works at the site, ensuring safe, cost-effective and timely execution in compliance with approved designs, DGMS norms and statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and execute mine infrastructure works including haul roads, approach roads, drains, culverts, retaining walls, buildings, workshops, weighbridges and site facilities.
Ensure civil works are executed as per approved drawings, technical specifications and project schedules.
Coordinate with mining operations, electrical, mechanical and project planning teams for seamless execution.
Prepare BOQs, estimates and technical specifications, manage civil contractors and consultants.
Monitor progress, quality, safety and cost control, certify RA bills and contractor measurements.
Ensure compliance with DGMS, environmental, safety and local statutory regulations.
Prepare progress reports, MIS, budget vs actual statements and updates for senior management.
Lead and mentor site engineers, supervisors and civil teams.
Liaise with local authorities, consultants and external agencies as required.
Qualifications & Experience
Qualification: B. E./B. Tech in Civil Engineering.
Experience: 12–20 years in mining, industrial or large infrastructure projects.
Exposure: Heavy earthwork, RCC structures, mine infrastructure and remote site execution.
