Role Description

We are recruiting a versatile AI Agent Engineer to own our AI-native investor portal end-to-end (AI enough to follow intent + engineer enough to quickly ship into production):

• Own agent → production end-to-end: Design, build, and iterate the conversational agent that answers investor queries and takes actions by navigating the app via tools/APIs—tight loop from user intent to reliable outcomes
• Ship like a startup engineer: Deliver a seamless dual-interface experience (traditional UI + agent side-by-side), collaborating across frontend and backend to ensure the agent can “use” the product the way a user would
• Build regulatory-grade guardrails + security: Implement policy controls, safe-completion behavior, audit logs, data access boundaries, and robust defenses against prompt injection / misuse; add escalation paths when the agent should defer to humans or UI flows
• Make it incisive, approachable, and measurable: Create evaluation + monitoring for correctness, tone, and safety; reduce hallucinations, improve retrieval and reasoning, and continuously raise the bar on investor-grade insight while staying compliant

Preferred Background

• Experience: 4+ years building production systems; 2+ years shipping LLM/agent features (tool calling, RAG, evals, reliability)
• Education: Strong academic background from premier institutions
• Prior Roles: Product-driven AI teams, or fast-paced startups (especially fintech)
• Mindset: User empathy, relentless iterations, AI-native productivity, end-to-end ownership, and bias toward shipping
• Or something untraditional that trumps all of the above
