Role Overview:

We are seeking an AI Architect / Engineer to lead and accelerate the migration of enterprise reports, universes, and data assets from SAP BusinessObjects (BO) to Microsoft Power BI. The ideal candidate will design AI-driven accelerators and automation to map BO

metadata to Power BI semantic models, refactor reporting logic (including complex formulas and prompts), and streamline data pipelines.

Key Responsibilities:

. Define the target analytics architecture using Power BI / Fabric, Azure Data Lake, Synapse/Databricks, and Purview

. Design and execute migration strategies from SAP BO to Power BI (Universes, WebI reports, security, governance)

. Build AI-driven automation to parse SAP BO metadata and translate it into Power BI datasets and reports

. Develop reusable Power BI semantic models, complex DAX, and calculation groups

. Use LLMs (e.g., Azure OpenAI) for documentation, impact analysis, semantic alignment, and test automation

. Identify report rationalization opportunities, data quality issues, and lineage gaps

. Ensure enterprise-grade governance, performance optimization, and deployment best practices.

Required Skills & Experience:

Experience:

. 5 10 years overall experience

. 3+ years of hands-on Power BI enterprise delivery

. 2+ years of SAP BusinessObjects migration experience (or equivalent BI migration)

Technical Expertise:

. SAP BusinessObjects: Universes (UNV/UNX), WebI, contexts, prompts, joins, aggregate awareness

. Power BI / Fabric: Data modeling, DAX, calculation groups, Tabular Editor, Power BI Service governance

. AI & Automation: Azure OpenAI / LLMs, prompt engineering, metadata and document parsing

. Strong SQL and data engineering fundamentals.
