AI Backend Engineer

What You’ll Build

● Stateless backend services operating over durable workflow state

● Explicit workflow and execution state models (statuses, transitions, events)

● Event-driven orchestration with retries, idempotency, and recovery

● Backend systems that power AI-driven execution, not just recommendations

We care about correctness, observability, and fast iteration.

What You’ll Do

● Design and build stateless backend services using Python + FastAPI

● Define durable workflow state models driven by real customer workflows

● Integrate AI agents into reliable execution pipelines

● Build event-driven async systems (queues, schedulers, background jobs)

● Own prompt engineering and production LLM integration

● Design clean APIs consumed by frontend systems and agents

● Work directly with customers to:

○ Understand how workflows fail in practice

○ Debug real production issues

○ Iterate quickly based on feedback

● Ensure systems are observable, debuggable, and resilient

● Operate backend and AI infrastructure end-to-end
