The Computing and Artificial Intelligence Division at Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) is seeking outstanding candidates for a postdoctoral research associate position in machine learning for scientific visualization. As the postdoc, you will work in conjunction with a small team of Ph.D. staff scientists as part of a research project focused on building agentic workflows that are able to generate, evaluate, and optimize scientific visualizations. This project will develop a domain-specific language (DSL), multimodal knowledge graphs, and an AI model of human perception to make the visualizations reliable, explainable, and human interpretable.
