AI Engineer

At Empirical, we build AI agents that write and maintain e2e tests for web apps. Our agents ship thousands of test changes daily, by replicating actions that QA engineers take: editing test code files, run linters, picking elements in a web browser, and creating pull requests.

This is an in-person role in Gurgaon.

Must have

• Strong at TypeScript and past exposure to building web apps
• Understands LLM app fundamentals like tool calling and context engineering
• Uses Amp / Claude Code / Cursor as their daily driver to ship code

Nice to have

• Shipped apps/features that use LLMs in production
• Experience with Playwright for automation or testing
• Experience working in early stage startups
