Technical and architecture-focused role rather than pure leadership

Responsibilities

• Help establish best practices for AI/ML lifecycle management in Databricks
• Support MLOps team (Eric's team, 45 days into maturation)
• Address gaps in MLOps services and platform capabilities
• Focus on designing for scale and speed rather than perfection
• Enable faster execution of new AI use cases and projects
• Can work near-shore with travel possibilities
• Can complement future director once hired (within next 60 days hopefully)
• Avoids team confusion of temporary leadership changes
