Job Title: Special Education Instructional Aide Basic Skills Wage/Hour Status: Non Exempt Reports to: Campus Principal Pay Grade: Aide Pay3 Dept./School: As Assigned Days: 187 (10 months) Supervises: Primary Purpose: To assist in the implementation of students IEPs. Qualifications: Education/Certification: High School Diploma or its equivalent CPR/First Aide Certified. Special Knowledge Skills: Temperament to work with students having disabilities Ability to maintain effective working relationships with teacher(s), students and administrators. Experience: Some experience in working with young children. Major Responsibilities and Duties: Exercise initiative in developing creative activities to supplement and reinforce learning Assist the children in transferring to and from different locations, as needed Assist the children in getting to the lunchroom and when necessary help them in getting lunch trays and feeding themselves.
