Role: AI/ML Lead Engineer

Position Type: Full-Time Contract (40hrs/week)

Contract Duration: 6 Months

Work Schedule: 8 hours/day (Mon-Fri)

Location: 100% Remote

We are looking for a highly experienced AI/ML Lead Engineer to lead the design, development, and deployment of enterprise-grade AI solutions. This role is hands-on and leadership-focused, covering the full AI/ML lifecycle while mentoring engineers and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deploy production-grade AI/ML models, including LLM-based solutions.
• Lead the end-to-end model lifecycle: experimentation, deployment, monitoring, and optimization.
• Build LLM applications, prompt-driven systems, and RAG architectures using vector databases (Qdrant).
• Perform feature engineering, data analysis, and model optimization on large datasets.
• Architect scalable AI solutions using cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and MLOps best practices.
• Collaborate with Product, Data, and MLOps teams to deliver AI-driven features.
• Mentor junior engineers and guide AI/ML best practices.

Required Skills & Experience

• 14+ years of IT experience, including 6+ years in AI/ML engineering
• Strong experience with LLMs, generative AI, and prompt-based architectures
• Hands-on experience with RAG patterns and vector databases (Qdrant preferred)
• Experience with AWS (ECS, Bedrock, CloudWatch, RDS)
• Strong Python skills and experience with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.)
• Familiarity with fine-tuning techniques (LoRA, QLoRA, instruction tuning)
• Experience with CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform / AWS CDK)
• Comfortable integrating AI services with React-based frontends

Education

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or related field
