Overview

At Airbus UpNext we develop future technologies for sustainable aviation. This role is part of a new demonstrator project that advances aircraft electrification by testing high‑voltage electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 2‑3 engineers to design, build and commission a test facility capable of delivering up to 1500 VDC while ensuring electrical safety.
• Define test bench requirements based on system architectures and test intentions, and detail the electrical and mechanical architecture of the bench.
• Manage the manufacturing and installation of heavy electrical equipment and custom test rigs, including industrial cooling, safe containers and environmental chambers.
• Perform risk analysis, develop safety documentation, and establish operational procedures for the test bench; act as primary authority for safety during commissioning.
