AirCon & Refrigeration Technician - Darwin Reporting to the Customer Account Manager and based in Winnellie Darwin, youwill be responsible for performing hands on complex maintenance to all HVAC systems and working on various ongoing and upcoming jobs in the NT region.
Further incentives may also be available for additional work outside of Darwin, servicing contracts in regional NT.

- Provide technical support as required
- Conduct detailed inspections of buildings/sites
- Plans maintenance and repair work as required
- Diagnose and rectify faults in HVAC, electrical or controlsystems
- Install refrigerant pipe work, flow controls and accessories
- Develop strong relationships with customers

- Provide technical support for maintenance contracts and warranties
- Implement control sequence changes and updates as required
- Conduct detailed inspections of buildings/sites
- Establish preventative maintenance and repair schedules
- Develop strong relationships with customers
Some of the key responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Set and execute the Technology Strategic Plan aligned with business objectives
- Lead and mentor a high-performing team across sales, delivery, and service operations
- Drive revenue growth, profitability, and operational efficiency across the division
- Oversee project and service delivery to ensure outcomes meet quality, budget, and timeline targets
- Build strong client and partner relationships to expand market share across ANZ
- Lead forecasting, reporting, and resource planning to optimise performance
- Collaborate with other business units to deliver seamless, integrated client solutions
- Champion health, safety, quality, and risk management standards across all operations
- Design, program, and commission building automation and integration systems using DISTECH and Tridium Niagara.
- Optimise building performance through energy-efficient and AI-driven control strategies.
- Deliver end-to-end engineering, including design, documentation, commissioning, and tuning.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring across project and service teams.
- Engage clients and stakeholders to ensure clear communication and project alignment.
- Uphold safety, compliance, and quality in all engineering activities.
- Drive innovation and improvement through continual learning and collaboration
- Create and maintain Engineering, Commissioning and Installation SOPs, procedures, standards, templates, and examples.
Some of the key responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Develop and execute national sales and marketing strategies aligned with business goals
- Develop in conjunction with CEO, sales strategy focussing on Construction projects - both wet concrete, existing building and retrofits
- Lead and inspire a high-performing team to achieve revenue, margin, and market-share growth
- Build and manage strategic partnerships and key customer relationships at C-suite level
- Oversee brand, digital, and campaign initiatives to elevate VAE's market presence
- Use data-driven insights to drive pipeline management and sales excellence
- Complete projects on time and within budget, maximizing variations.
- Provide monthly cost estimates, cash flow, and progress claims.
- Assess risks, manage costs, and optimize project outcomes.
- Review contracts, manage suppliers, and ensure compliance.
- Assist with tenders, evaluate specs, and follow up on pricing.
- Identify risks, resolve issues, and support project success.
- Oversee daily activities, site operations, and work schedules.
