Akamai Analyst

• Configure and manage Akamai CDN for large-scale global websites to improve performance and availability
• Analyze Akamai traffic reports and RUM (mPulse) data to identify performance bottlenecks and fine-tune edge delivery
• Implement edge caching strategies, redirect rules, and performance tuning using Akamai Property Manager
• Maintain EdgeWorkers for geo-based routing, header manipulations, and token validation
• Automate cache purging and configuration deployments using Akamai CLI and Fast Purge APIs
• Configure and manage Akamai services including Web Application Firewall, DNS, and Content Delivery Network settings
• Contribute to traffic resiliency and scalability through caching, failover policies, and traffic segmentation at the edge

Skills/Qualifications:

• Strong experience configuring Akamai Property Manager for web acceleration and asset offloading
• Hands-on with Akamai EdgeWorkers for custom edge logic and real-time decision making
• Proficient in analyzing and debugging Akamai traffic using tools like mPulse, Edge Diagnostics, and RUM
• Deep understanding of caching policies, TTL tuning, and performance headers (cache-control, surrogate keys, etc.)
• Familiarity with Fast Purge, Akamai APIs, CLI, and integration with CI/CD pipelines
• Knowledge of web performance best practices including lazy loading, compression, and image optimization
• Experience with security rules at the edge (WAF, geo-blocking, bot management, token auth)
• Experience collaborating in agile/scrum development environments with cross-functional teams
