The Role:

• We are seeking an experienced software / data governance professional to join a high-performing development team focused on building and scaling solutions on the Alation data platform .
• Architect and develop high-quality software solutions for Alation’s data platform using technologies like Python, Java, and SQL.
• The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining robust, scalable applications using Python, Java, and SQL , while collaborating closely with product managers, data scientists, and engineering teams.
• The ideal candidate will contribute to enhancing data governance, discovery, and usability , ensure high code quality through testing and reviews, and proactively troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• A strong foundation in databases, cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure), and modern data technologies is essential, with exposure to machine learning concepts considered an added advantage.
