We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical AML Transaction Monitoring Analyst to join our Compliance team. The role focuses on identifying, investigating, and mitigating potential money laundering, terrorist financing, and other financial crime risks through effective transaction monitoring and analysis. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in AML transaction monitoring, a strong understanding of regulatory requirements, and the ability to assess complex financial activities across various products and customer types.

Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor customer transactions using AML transaction monitoring systems to identify unusual or suspicious activity.
- Conduct detailed investigations on alerts generated by monitoring tools, including analysis of transaction patterns, customer behavior, and risk indicators.
- Perform end-to-end alert handling, including review, investigation, documentation, and timely escalation or closure in line with internal policies and regulatory guidelines.
- Prepare and file Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs) / Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) when required, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and regulatory compliance.
- Analyze customer profiles, KYC/CDD information, and historical transaction data to support investigation outcomes.
- Identify typologies related to money laundering, fraud, sanctions evasion, and terrorist financing.
- Maintain thorough and well-documented case notes to support audit, regulatory reviews, and internal quality checks.
- Ensure compliance with local and global AML regulations, including FATF guidelines and relevant regulatory frameworks.
- Collaborate with compliance, risk, operations, and business teams to resolve alerts and address identified risks.
- Support periodic reviews, internal audits, and regulatory examinations by providing accurate case data and insights.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of transaction monitoring rules, thresholds, and processes by sharing feedback and observations.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 1–8 years of hands-on experience in AML Transaction Monitoring within banking, financial services, fintech, or consulting environments.
- Strong understanding of AML regulations, financial crime risks, and transaction monitoring concepts.
- Experience working with AML monitoring tools and case management systems.
- Ability to analyze large volumes of transaction data and identify meaningful risk patterns.
- Knowledge of KYC, CDD, EDD, sanctions screening, and customer risk profiling.
- Excellent analytical, investigative, and critical-thinking skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for clear documentation and reporting.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple cases under defined timelines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certifications such as CAMS or equivalent (preferred but not mandatory).
- Experience handling multi-jurisdictional AML requirements or global clients.
- Exposure to regulatory audits and quality assurance reviews.
