AML/KYA Officer (f/m/d)

FundRock, a pan‑European independent UCITS and AIFM company operating under Apex Group, invites applications for an AML/KYA Officer. The role supports the Portfolio Management team in performing KYA/AML assessments on assets for Alternative Investment Funds (AIFs) spanning Private Equity, Real Estate and Private Debt.

Job Specification

  • Review and screen counterparties in internal databases.
  • Work closely with investment advisors to assess KYC/AML information and follow up for missing data.
  • Maintain KYC information in the AIFM records.
  • Collaborate with the Compliance team to resolve escalated issues.
  • Manage outstanding queries, investigations and requests.
  • Assist management in setting up and maintaining internal KPIs, KYC/AML and risk‑rating tools.
  • Monitor innovations in KYA, regulatory obligations and industry standards.
  • Own and drive improvements to existing processes to enhance client experience.
  • Coordinate the KYA effort with junior members.
  • Escalate urgent, sensitive matters appropriately to Portfolio Management and/or Compliance.
  • Act as a point of escalation for the Portfolio Management Team on any AML/KYC related queries.

Profile

  • Undergraduate degree.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in compliance and/or AML/KYC, ideally in the investment funds industry.
  • Strong understanding of AML/KYC importance for an AIFM.
  • Relevant industry training courses or certifications.
  • Fluent in English; knowledge of French and/or German considered an asset.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint; Factiva experience an asset.
  • Excellent communication skills and a can‑do attitude.
  • Ability to think constructively, manage workload proactively and work independently while collaborating with team members.
