Job Summary
The Client Accounting Services (CAS) professional will be responsible for managing end-to-end accounting and financial reporting functions for global clients, primarily under US GAAP and IFRS. The role involves close coordination with onshore stakeholders, preparation of management reports and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a primary liaison with onshore clients, ensuring timely communication and delivery of financial information.
- Prepare and review key Management Information System (MIS) reports for clients.
- Manage, mentor, and review work of a team of 4-6 accounting professionals to ensure accuracy and adherence to timelines.
- Perform book-keeping and finalization of books of accounts in compliance with US GAAP and IFRS.
- Prepare and review consolidated financial statements, including inter-company eliminations.
- Handle preparation, review, and submission of Form 1099s in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Perform and oversee various reconciliations, including:
- Bank and credit card reconciliations
- Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable tie-outs
- Inter-company reconciliations
- Work extensively with multiple accounting platforms such as QuickBooks Online (QBO), Sage Intacct, Zoho Books, and Xero.
- Manage payroll processing and related accounting with hands-on experience in systems including Insperity, ADP, Justworks, and Gusto.
- Perform accounting for investments and leases in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
- Assist in budget preparation, financial forecasting, and credit analysis.
- Support statutory and internal audits by coordinating with auditors and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and documentation requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS accounting standards.
- Experience in managing and reviewing work of a small accounting team.
- Proficiency in cloud-based accounting and payroll software.
- Strong analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills for client interaction and cross-border coordination.
- Ability to manage multiple clients, deadlines, and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Chartered Accountant (CA) with minimum 4-5 years of post qualification experience.
- Prior experience in a consulting, advisory, or professional services environment.
- Experience working with international clients, particularly US-based entities.
