The Opportunity
A rare opportunity is available for a Consultant Anaesthetist to join a modern and expanding public hospital located on the fringe of Melbourne. The role offers exposure to a broad clinical caseload within a supportive and well-resourced environment.
You will provide high-quality anaesthetic care across elective and emergency settings, with opportunities to contribute to peri-operative services, education, clinical audit, research, and service development. This position is suited to experienced consultants and internationally trained anaesthetists seeking long-term stability in Victoria. The Hospital
This established public hospital in Victoria delivers a wide range of acute and sub-acute services, including surgical and medical care, maternity and newborn services, renal dialysis, emergency medicine, intensive care, mental health, rehabilitation, and palliative care.
The hospital has recently completed a major redevelopment program, including a new Intensive Care Unit, additional operating theatres, and two new inpatient wards. With approximately 300 beds, the hospital offers a diverse case mix while maintaining a collegial and collaborative culture. The Location
The hospital is located approximately 30 minutes from Melbourne CBD and within easy reach of Victoria’s Surf Coast. The area offers an excellent balance between metropolitan access and lifestyle appeal.

Applicants will meet one or more of the following criteria:
• Hold or be eligible for Specialist Registration with AHPRA
• Minimum 12 months recent experience working at Consultant Anaesthetist level
• Hold or be close to completing Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA)
• International Medical Graduates who are ready to submit their specialist assessment to ANZCA, or who have been assessed as partially or substantially comparable
