Head of NVM IP Development
The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Analog Design Manager to lead and drive the development of cutting-edge analog and mixed-signal circuits. In this role, you will be at the forefront of developing Non-Volatile Memory (NVM) IPs (including OTPs, MTP, Fuse, and EEPROMs) and Power Management IPs .
As a technical leader, you will guide an elite team of engineers to deliver innovative designs that push the boundaries of performance, power efficiency, and reliability in the semiconductor industry.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership
- Circuit Ownership: Oversee the design, development, and verification of analog/mixed-signal circuits for NVM applications (Charge Pumps, Voltage Regulators, Sense Amplifiers, and Memory Interfaces).
- Architectural Strategy: Define and review circuit architectures to optimize PPA (Performance, Power, and Area).
- Drive Innovation: Address industry challenges in scaling and reliability for next-generation NVM technologies.
Team Management & Development
- Mentorship: Build and manage a team of analog design engineers, fostering technical growth and career progression.
- Strategic Direction: Provide technical guidance to ensure high-quality, timely project execution.
- Global Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams worldwide, including Process, Test Engineering, and Product teams.
Project & Risk Management
- Roadmap Execution: Plan and manage project schedules, deliverables, and milestones.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure designs meet stringent technical specifications and quality standards.
- Risk Mitigation: Identify design risks and ensure robust performance under PVT variations.
Communication & Stakeholder Management
- Cross-Functional Alignment: Work closely with NVM bit-cell architecture teams to align circuit design with system requirements.
- Foundry Interface: Collaborate with Process Integration Engineers to optimize technology for NVM applications.
- Executive Reporting: Present technical reviews and project updates to senior management and stakeholders.
Qualifications & Skills
Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering , Microelectronics , or a related field.
Experience Requirements
- 15+ years in analog/mixed-signal circuit design, with a specific focus on NVM .
- 3+ years in a leadership or management role with a proven track record of delivering complex silicon designs.
Core Technical Competencies
- NVM Expertise: Deep understanding of NVM operations (Programming, Reading, and Reliability).
- Circuit Design: Expertise in Charge Pumps, Oscillators, ADCs/DACs, Precision Voltage References, Current References, and LDOs.
- Tools: Proficient in Cadence Virtuoso , SPICE , and modeling tools like MATLAB or Verilog-A .
- Nodes: Familiarity with advanced nodes (28nm ) and BCD nodes .
Leadership & Soft Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in fast-paced environments.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to build influential relationships across different functions.
Preferred Attributes (Desirable)
- Experience in Silicon Bring-up , debug, and characterization.
- Deep knowledge of reliability challenges (Endurance, Retention, and Soft Errors).
- Demonstrated ability to drive for results and take initiative in a rapidly changing environment.
