Qualifications
Responsibilities:
Review costs and other marketing data to develop rate offerings. Develop timely responses to various RFP's. Keep other departments (such as freight services, sales and operations) informed of pricing matters related to assigned trade lanes and marketplace opportunities. Negotiate directly with customers or through sales personnel to achieve highest obtainable margins. Develop and maintain net analysis spreadsheets and costing information tools for pricing personnel and/or in support of specific projects. Handle connecting carrier contracts and slot charter agreements. Participate in vendor, sales calls, conferences, and committee meetings. Formulate back-up information and positions on conference/discussion agreement dockets to support the Pricing Manager/Head of Pricing needs at such meetings. Maintain assigned FMC tariffs and rates for assigned trade lanes. Negotiate directly with customers or through Crowley Sales Reps to achieve highest obtainable margins. Contract and tariff develop for specific assigned trade lanes and customers.
Education:Bachelor's degree in business, transportation/logistics or equivalent work experience; or a combination of post high school and equal experience may be substituted for education.
Experience:Logistics industry experience1 - 2 years prior or with customer service or sales experience.
Technical Knowledge:Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Access, Excel and PowerPoint.
