About the Team & the Position

The Program Communications Analyst will help modernise our communication function as part of AEMO’s technology uplift program. Reporting to the Program Communications & Engagement Manager, you will drive the day‑to‑day execution of communication activities, creating content, managing channels, supporting events and analysing data to keep our people informed, engaged and prepared for change.

Position Responsibilities

  • Content Creation & Editing: Draft, edit and proofread newsletters, intranet articles, emails, FAQs and presentation slides.
  • Channel Management: Maintain the program’s content calendar and publish updates on SharePoint and Viva Engage.
  • Event & Meeting Support: Coordinate logistics, invitations and materials for town halls, workshops and other program events.
  • Data & Analytics Support: Administer pulse surveys, collate and analyse data and prepare reports on communication effectiveness for senior leadership.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Gather information for stories and support the review and approval process for all communication materials.
  • Team Administration: Provide general admin support to the Communications & Engagement Manager – manage distribution lists, schedule key meetings and maintain a communication asset library.

Position Requirements

  • Strong experience in internal communications, corporate affairs or marketing communications.
  • Proven ability to write clear, compelling content for multiple channels and audiences.
  • High proficiency with Microsoft 365 (SharePoint, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Experience working within a large, complex organisation or on a programme/project environment.
  • Familiarity with employee engagement platforms or basic graphic design tools is an advantage.
  • Must be an Australian citizen and able to attain and maintain an appropriate national security clearance.

Education / Professional Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing or related field.
